A man is dead after entering a Jackson, Miss., convenience store with a knife and allegedly chasing an armed employee, according to local police reports.
On Friday, March 22, 2024, the suspect entered the convenience store and began chasing the employee with the blade, allegedly attempting to stab the person during the pursuit. The worker was armed and pulled out a gun, firing at the attacker. Police say the suspect died at the scene, and officers took the shooter to a local police station for further questioning. Todor Stoini had closed his restaurant in Blue Ash, Ohio, and, with his wife, was walking to their automobile when a man suddenly appeared and grabbed a plastic bucket carried by Mrs. Soini. It contained $2,800. Before the thief could get away, Stoini drew a revolver and brought him down with several shots in the shoulder and abdomen. (Cincinnati Inquirer)
