This integrated tourniquet system, from Alien Gear Holsters, is designed to be a quick-to-deploy lifesaving solution for the modern warrior. Minimalist by nature, the TAQ-STRAP can be used as a standalone medical device or to replace 1.5″ thigh straps associated with drop-leg holster systems.
The lifesaving setup allows for one-handed operation of the M2 Inc. thermoplastic ratcheting mechanism to rapidly control a femoral artery bleed in mere seconds; recommended use requires the unit to be as close to the groin or armpit as possible while remaining comfortable.
Rubber-backed nylon ensures a secure, non-slip fit surrounding the appendage. The provided Standalone Strap can accommodate duty belts and plate carriers up to 2¼” wide and provides a simple push-button disconnect fitting.
