Since its introduction in 2018, SIG’s P365 has been at the head of the market for subcompact, striker-fired, 9 mm Luger handguns with a minimum magazine capacity of 10 rounds. The popularity of the design has lead to a myriad of variants, tailored to specific purposes. New for 2024, the company is introducing the P365-FUSE, a model which the company says is “the ultimate fusion of full-size capability…that doesn’t compromise on capacity, shootability or concealability.”
The FUSE is the largest version of SIG’s P365 offered to date.
The P365-FUSE ups the size over the previous P365 models, combining the extended grip length of the P365-XMacro with a longer slide than the XL series. While bigger than the original “micro-compact” P365, the P365-FUSE is of “compact” size, with an overall length of 7.2” and a height of 5.1”. Like the original, the FUSE has a narrow profile despite its capacity at 1” wide across the grip area. It weighs 23.1 ozs. The result is what SIG calls a “crossover carry” pistol.
The P365-FUSE is supplied with an extended 21-round magazine and is available from the factory with a SIG Romeo-X Compact red dot sight.
The FUSE’s grip module is the polymer LXG (laser-stippled X grip) and has a removable magwell, an M1913 Picatinny accessory rail on the dustcover and interchangeable backstraps. The fire control unit uses a nickel-plated flat trigger, and an external manual safety is not an option. Its stainless-steel slide has front and rear serrations and unique lightening cuts and is given a Nitron finish. Sights are a fiber-optic front and a serrated rear notch, and the slide is also cut for optics with a Shield RMSc footprint. The 4.3” carbon steel barrel is given a DLC finish.
Despite its capacity, the SIG P365-FUSE is just over an inch wide.
The FUSE ships with three magazines. One is a flush-fit 17-rounder introduced with the P365-XMacro, and the other two are extended 21-round magazines. It is also available with 10-round magazines for those who live in areas with capacity restrictions. As with many other SIG products, the P365-FUSE can come with a factory-installed optic, in this case the company’s own Romeo-X Compact red-dot sight. The Romeo-X Compact is based on the design that SIG produces for the U.S. military and weighs less than 2 ozs.
The P365-FUSE comes with two extended 21-round magazines and one flush-fit 17-rounder.
